Time does fly. It feels like Erwin and I just got married yesterday, and yet we feel like we've been together forever. Being married has been such a blessing for us. A journey through ups and some downs, laughter and tears and moments so full of joy and love, we just know that we are so happy to be together forever. Marriage is a wonderful step towards progression, and I really love all the ways that I have grown and changed with Erwin.
Erwin is my best friend and my eternal companion. He comforts me, sacrifices for me, serves me, makes me laugh, wipes my tears, is romantic and fun and helps me learn new things every day. I love him with all of my heart and I am so blessed to have him in my life.
Erwin was a sneaky little guy, when it came to getting me my 6 month gift. When he and I were in Hawaii for our reception, we stopped by a little store that has the most beautiful buffalo bone ring, in the shape of a rose. I admired it, tried it on, and said that I wished I could buy it. We left the store and I had almost forgotten completely about the ring. Well, turns out Erwin didn't. He had his family in Hawaii go to the shop, find the ring, send pics of it, coordinate the size, when to send it in the mail and getting it to Cami's house. He would check Cami's mail often to see if it had come, and this whole time I had no idea.
We went to Red Lobster to eat some yummy seafood. I gave him a gift and he hugged me, telling me he didn't get me one and how sorry he was. As I pulled away laughing, he had a little white box with a ribbon on it, in his hand. To my wonderful surprise, I opened it up, and there was the ring! It has a note on it that said "I was going to get you 6 roses, but I got you just one." I must admit, I think I jumped up and down in the parking lot, and kept gasping about how beautiful it was and how surprised I was. I kept laughing and staring at it. I had wanted that ring, and love everything about it. And Erwin had been so thoughtful to remember and get me exactly what I wanted. :)
It has been a good 6 months. We are thankful to family who love and support us and friends who are also there for us. We love you all!
Erwin, here is to another 6 months! And to eternity! :)
