October was a month full of different events for us. My Grandma passing away has still been hard for me, but there have been plenty of other things that happened this month that have kept me smiling. One of them was Erwin's birthday. He was sick, tired and full of homework on his birthday, but I tried to brighten his day a bit. A banner, lots of balloon and lots of Wendy's food (his choice) seemed to help put a smile on his face.
He also had to listen to just me sing to him, Happy Birthday and blow out some candles.
He then opened a few presents from me, played some video games and worked on his Halloween costume. Sadly he didn't finish it in time for the ward party.
My parents really wanted to give Erwin a birthday dinner at their home, but my mom became very sick. So we decided to hold the dinner party in our little home. We invited all the family from Provo, and John and Io came too. It was a good time with laughing, gifts, oh-so-good food and music. We enjoyed the company and the time to celebrate Erwin. :)
Erwin is so funny; he feels like he has now reached the epitome of "old". He calls himself an old man and swears his body is already falling apart. All I see is a young and glowing guy with that smile of his. And now that he is 26, that means I am that much closer to being 27. Ugh. Now that is old...:)
