Thankful

At this time of year, we are especially reminded to be thankful and give gratitude for all that we have and enjoy. I know I am so, very blessed. And at this time, I would like to give thanks.

  • The Gospel. It is my rock and my way of life.
  • My Savior. He is my brother and my Shepard.
  • My husband Erwin. He is my best friend, my laugh machine, tear wiper, hug giver, example and love.
  • My calling in the Young Women's. It has shaped me into a better woman and desires to live as an example.
  • My family. My parents are so supportive and provide continuous support and love.
  • Nieces and nephews. They are the giver of unconditional love and many smiles.
  • Long talks on the phone. The kind that make your heart feel lighter and happier once you hang up.
  • Wonderful In-Laws. My Hawaiian mom and dad have been nothing but loving, accepting and kind.
  • Fresh lime. I love it. Especially in salsa and diet coke.
  • The scriptures. The words comfort me and bring me peace.
  • Fresh flowers. The smell makes me happy.
  • Prayer. How grateful I am for this opportunity I have to communicate with my Father in Heaven.
  • Working automobiles. They may cost lots of money, but we own two of them.
  • My little apartment. It provides warmth, storage and a home.
  • Good movies. The kind that make you laugh.
  • Health. Though this is up and down sometimes, nothing too serious yet.
  • Sunsets. They remind me how beautiful this earth is and help me pause for a moment to reflect.
  • Photographs. They are the best form of nostalgia or inspiration.
  • Good friends. The ones that love you and do whatever it takes to stay in touch.
  • Service. I am grateful for the many opportunities we have to serve others and grow.
  • Computers. They are my huge source of keeping in contact with others and provide technological progression.
  • Picture frames. I can view my memories daily.
  • Trials. They shape me. Improve me. And better my relationship with God.
  • Employment. In these hard times, I am grateful for work.
  • Education. I love learning.
  • New additions to family. Brother or sister in-laws, friends, and babies.
  • Ecuador.
  • Having lasik eye surgery. Blind nightmares are done with and what a blessing, to see!
  • Random texts, notes or email from someone saying they are thinking of you.
  • Funny jokes.
  • Little children. They are pure and sweet.
  • My t.v. stand. It makes me think of my Grandma every day.
  • The Plan of Salvation.
  • Music. Nothing speaks to my souls better.
  • My freedom in this wonderful country.
  • Washing machines and dryers. Need I say more?
  • The Atonement. Where would I be without it...?
  • Missionaries.
  • The Prophet.
  • The talents of others that bless my life.
  • Books.
  • Opportunities for vacations.
  • Giggles. Early in the morning or very late at night. My favorites.
  • Tender mercies. God know ME.
  • My past, present and future.
These are just some things that popped into my head, though there are a million more things I can think of that I am thankful for. I am blessed. Are we not so blessed? I love expressing my gratitude towards others, but especially to my Father in Heaven. He truly blesses me and my life and I give thanks to Him.
