| Every year, my grandma gave all the grand kids cereal at the Christmas party. Since she was gone this year, my cousins bought little boxes of cereal and tied a picture of her in remembrance. We loved it! |
My extended family gets together every year on the 23rd of December, for a big Christmas party. There are always tons of people and lots of yummy food! When I was younger, we always did a white elephant gift exchange and played games. As we got older, that stopped with so many new little babies and kids running around. There is always TONS of singing, which is my absolute favorite. We have our traditional songs that we always sing every year, and then we have family that perform solos, duets or big group numbers. It is so, so fun. I love being with my family.
I was raised to be very close with my cousins. We went to camp outs together, parties, had sleepovers, picnics, attended each others recitals and vacationed together. I have about 35 cousins in total, and 2 of them were girls exactly my age. I got lucky, and we remain best friends.
Now, so very many of my cousins are married with their own kids, so we have a billion new cousins to enjoy! They are so fun, and we like spending time with them as well.
Here are some pics from the party this year:

| My cousin Johnny read a poem from the point of view of someone who recently passed away, and would be spending Christmas with Jesus this year. It all made us cry, thinking of our Grandma Bee. |
