A birthday to remember...

I am now, more than ever, closer to being 30 years old. Erwin sure reminds me all the time. Not sure how I feel about that. I love birthday's. I never quite dread them. But sometimes the idea of getting older, can be odd, because I am still in that stage of life, where I feel like I will stay young forever. But alas, here I am. One year older, and maybe even a bit wiser too. :) It was a wonderful day. I accredit it all to everyone who made me feel loved.
It was on Saturday, which was nice! Erwin got to be with me the entire day, and no rushing around or doing homework.
Here is what happened on my 27th birthday. One that I will never forget. :)

First, we went to go visit together an old mission friend, Katrina Hansen Galbraith. She is one of my best friends and we have been there together through so many things, that she knows my soul. It was fun to see her and her hubby and their sweet little boy! They rushed off to their flight back home to Texas right after we left, so I felt blessed to have been able to see her.

Then, we drove to Provo so I could spend some time with the Rivas family and Rach and John. It was so great. There was an ice cream cake, lots of balloons and the best, most yummiest lasagna ever! (made by Cami) And this just shows how well Cam knows me. She said "I am surprised you didn't ask for steak. I was looking up recipes and learning how to cook it, because I was sure that is what you would have wanted." I laughed. It's SO true! That is what I ask for every birthday. (just not this year) I had such a good time talking with everyone, eating, and playing with Kaleb. He loved, loved the ballons, and I have the cutest video of him and pics playing with them. Thank you Cam, Josue, Kaleb and Rach. You guys are wonderful! xoxoxoxo.

Near the end of the lunch, Erwin then turned on the TV and popped in a dvd. He told me to pay close attention, and the movie started playing. He had made for me a movie! The background music was him singing the song the first time he told me he loved me, and the one he sang at our wedding. "Sarah's song." The dvd was full of clips of he and I together, or just me walking, laughing, driving, playing or even putting on makeup! This was a project he had been putting together for 3 months, and boy, did he sure pull it off! Every time he whipped out the camera to record me, he assured me it was just for fun, or to test out the camera, or to document me for our future kids. I assumed he loved the camera and always wanted to put it in my face. :) He had also bought a mic, recording equipment and a fancy computer program, all to put it together for me. I had no idea! John also helped him with some filming and editing, and they have their little "John and Erwin commentary" at the end of the dvd. It is SO funny! I loved it!! I couldn't believe all the work he put into it, and how fun it was to watch. Needless to say, I felt loved. :) He is so sweet and romantic and really wanted to show me how he loved me. It was creative and fun. Thank you Erwin! I will treasure that dvd forever, and thank you for your time and effort!!

Below are some pics from that day:

Erwin got me some great balloons.

Uncle Erwin and Kaleb hanging out and saying Hi!

He did not want to stop playing with them!

My ice cream snickers cake. Yum!

My gift from the Rivas family. A certificate to the nail salon. Wahoo!

Cute card from the Rivas'.

Rach got me the cutest earrings. They were perfect, and just my style.

Erwin bought me this cute frame with the temple and a quote at the bottom talking about Holy Temples. I love it.

I don't like this pic of me, but it's me showing my other amazing gift from Erwin! My personal  movie and card!

After the party at Cam's, I went right to get my nails done. They look great. :)

Texas Roadhouse for a tasty, and great dinner, before ending the day. ahhhh...

On Sunday, we were invited to my parents out for a traditional birthday dinner. Mom and dad were so cute with candles and nice napkins and it felt like a nice elegant, atmosphere. We ate chicken, rice, asparagus, potatoes and drank some bubbly. It was fun and I enjoyed the time we spent there.

Birthday dinner at my parents' house! Candles and elegance. :)

My favorite dessert. Raspberry freeze cake. Yum!

I am a Navy fan. Thanks Amy and Eric!

Just what I wanted. Thanks mom and dad!

I really wanted this book! I am so happy I got it and am going to dive right into reading it, :)
After dinner, my brother Robert taught us how to play some super fun games on the Xbox Kinect. We played bowling, tennis and volleyball. (Erwin's favorite) We then raced cars and I loved that one! We had such a good time jumping around and laughing. It was a great time and I loved my day full of loved ones.

Also, I got a wonderful birthday call from the Wright family. They sang to me Happy Birthday and it sounded beautiful. I felt loved and was happy to hear from them. Thank you Wright family!!!!! I appreciate you guys and your love!!! xoxoxo.

I am blessed. I am blessed to have had one more year of life. I am blessed with a loving Heavenly Father who knows me. I am grateful for family who takes time and efforts to show me they love me and care for me. I am blessed for a loving husband who works hard to show me he loves me and for the special day he gave me. It was a wonderful day, and he truly made it one to remember.

Thank you everyone, for your love! I love you all, very, very much!!
