Goodbye 2011, you were quite the year!

What a year 2011 was! It certainly was a big one for me, as some major life changing events happened!
Let's look over every month, shall we? Here is a big toast to 2011!

January-I turned 26.
I was also interviewing for new jobs, as I felt my time at CAP had come to an end. I was looking for something new, and I got what I wanted! A job at Head Start, as a social worker. It's been an experience for sure, and a blessing.

February- This is the month I started my new job. It was hard to adjust coming in mid year, but it turned out well and I was blessed with an amazing supervisor and sweet co-workers.

It was also the month that my sister let us know, she was pregnant with a girl! I was so happy to have a niece on the way!

March- Okay, this was a big month for me. :) I married Erwin on the 18th, and my life has not been the same since. We decided we wanted to be sealed for time and all eternity, and being a wife and new family was an adjustment and a blessing! I have learned so much from him and much more about life, love, the gospel, sacrifice and happiness!! I sure love him and all he does for me. I'm so glad we committed and had our big day this month.

We also got to go back to Hawaii to celebrate our marriage with family and friends on Kauai. It was my first time ever to Hawaii, and I enjoyed meeting so many new loving, kind and sweet people. It was also fun to see where Erwin grew up and get to know him better through his home. :)

April-Nothing too much this month. Robert's birthday and more work and school. Another month to learn and grow and see blessings.

May-My sweet Grandma Bee passed away this month. Erwin and I were blessed to have lived with her and partake of her sweet character, generosity and love. Erwin and I sang for her with some of my aunts while Erwin played his ukulele. She loved it. I was fortunate to be with her in her last days at the care home she was in, and have some very special moments with her  before her passing. I will cherish them forever, and to this day, I miss her terribly. I know she is happy now, and I am grateful for the plan of salvation.

This was also the month that my sis-in-law Meagan, graduated with her Masters. Go Meags! :)

June- I became an Aunt! What a neat experience, that I will never forget! Our little family grew, with a beautiful baby girl. Emmelin came into the world with ease, and I was so happy to have her here! My sister Amy told me not to look as she gave birth and to stay by her head...but I didn't listen! bwa haha! I took myself to see the action, and loved watching Emmy be born! Sorry Amy! You know me, and my sneakiness, and it was awesome to witness the miracle of life. You did great! And I am so in love with my little niece. She is wonderful.

Erwin and I also had the wonderful chance to go back to Philly with my dad, to go see Grammy! She loved him, and we had the best time hanging out. I got to show him such a dear part of my life and my love and passion for the East coast. Erwin also became a Phillies fan! Wahoo!! Love it. :) It was also a blessing we went when we did, because Grammy's health declined quickly almost right after we left. We remember dearly the time we got to spend with her on this trip.

July-My brother-in-law Eric, moved to Florida for his new job with the Navy. Amy stayed in Utah with our parents and he waited patiently for her until she could move with the baby.

Erwin also was doing really well in his spring/summer classes and enjoying a break from the insane schedule of heavy classes.

We also got to go to the Stadium of Fire with my cousin Heidi and her hubby Sean. We saw Brad Paisley, and I couldn't have been happier. He was on my bucket list to see! We had a blast!!

August-Erwin started school again this month. He was signed up for killer classes and a big load!

My sister Amy also moved away this month from our family and from Utah, to go be with her new little family, Eric and Emmy. I cried saying goodbye to her and the baby, and have missed them since!

September-It was my dad's birthday. Also my parents Anniversary, and then my sister's birthday! Big month full of celebration!

October- My wonderful Grammy passed away this month. She took a quick turn for the worst, and passed away on the 4th of this month. We all as a family, including Erwin, were able to get some time off from work and school and get back to Philly for the funeral. It was nice to see so many friends and family, and her service was lovely. But I sure do wish I had been able to say goodbye to my grandma. I love her and miss her and still feel the void in my heart.

It was also Erwin's 26th birthday. We had a nice party for him with fam and friends. He got old. ;)

November-We celebrated Thanksgiving with the family and enjoyed some time with my other sis in law, Rach , for her birthday as well! It was a month that was great for reflection of blessings and gratitude.

December-Erwin made it through the semester! This month really took a toll on him, and finals were rough. He worked hard and he did well. I have loved his time off from school!

My other sis in law, Lynnell came home from her mission in Minnesota. We had been corresponding via email, and it was neat to be able to talk to her on the phone and get to know her even more.

It was also my first married Christmas! I loved spending it with Erwin, and we had such a wonderful day. I loved the month, the decor, the gifts, the hard work, the sleep, the laughs and the remembrance of my Savior. And I got to do it all while living with my sweetheart!

Wow. Looking back, I can't believe how much had happened! So many different events and opportunities and numerable blessings! It was a big year for change, trials, love, sacrifice, faith, hard work and happiness. :)
Thank you to all, for making it a fun year.
