Did you know I took archery lessons as a kid? Yup. I remember my mom would pile us kids up and we headed to a place right here in Sugarhouse. I don't recall much else besides advancing from shooting at target paper to balloons and loving my bow. Those lessons didn't last longer than one summer I think...but I loved it.
Erwin told me he did a bit of archery himself back in the day and it got us thinking that we should try it again together! We went and visit a few places around town and Erwin found one that he really liked. The owner and he got along well and it was a good environment. So Erwin went in and scheduled for us a time to go and get archery lessons together. He came home so excited and called it our "most exciting date to come!" I couldn't help but laugh.
So we went! The place was empty and we got to have our lesson with the owner for a little over an hour. It was pretty great. I started out really well. Erwin did not. Then Erwin did really well. Then I did not. :) We laughed, asked lots of questions and got the feel for our bows and enjoyed our time quite a bit. We plan on going back soon. If it wasn't such an expensive sport...I think Erwin would be there every single day. :)
