St. George, friends and sunshine. ahhhh. :)

Erwin and I were invited by our good friends, The Cundicks, to spend Conference weekend with them in St. George at a family condo. (Which is owned by the church actually) We were SO excited for the invite. I got to get away from a computer and work and Erwin from school. Our stresses could be forgotten for a weekend. It was a blessing!
What are fun time consisted of:
Friday:Drive to St. George. Got there around 9:30 p.m.
Saturday:Watched conference, went swimming, watched the afternoon session of conference, boys played golf, girls went shopping, Priesthood session, and then dinner at Chile's.
Sunday: Watched conference, slept, more conference, games, walks and a yummy lasagna dinner.
Monday: Up at 7 and then the hour drive to Zions. It was cold and windy this day...which made the hike rough. But it was too beautiful to be bummed. We hiked "Angels Landing" which really was a long hike. It took about 4 1/2 hours in total. I couldn't have done it without Erwin who motivated me and sometimes pushed me up the mountain. :) It was so fun and so pretty.
After the long hike, we then showered, packed and drove home to Salt Lake. We were tired and sore, but it was the most fun weekend with friends. :)
Erwin and Steve at the pool

I know....I'm super white...

Megan drank 4 diet cokes in about 20 minutes. We couldn't help but laugh.

The room we stayed in. Comfy bed!

The kitchen was beautiful.

We also enjoyed the hot tub late at night. ahhhh

Zions Canyon!

Beautiful view

It was windy and cold and dust everywhere.

The gang.
Taking a break. Great View no?

Megan and Steve. This part was about 7 switch backs right in a row. It was rough!

Yup, 5 people have died on this part of the hike. Erwin doesn't like heights, so once we reached the top, we decided not to go on to the actual "angel's landing" part. It consisted of tons of drop offs, steel chains to hold on to and a bunch of ridges.
View from the top!

We are waiting at the top, eating and watching the big crowd of hikers.

Erwin and I kicked beeee-hind of the way down the huge mountain. It's much easier going down. :)

The famous Dixie rock that we hiked when we were here around one year ago.
