Hawaii! :)

Erwin and I were able to go back to Hawaii again, for his little sister's high school graduation. It was nice to be able to go back and see familiar places, people and eat some familiar food and visit with family, while meeting new people along the way. It was absolutely beautiful everywhere we went, and I miss the green trees, gorgeous flowers and clear blue ocean.
Erwin and I stayed in the Waimea Cottages, and we really like our little cottage and the time we spent there. It was so fun and quaint, and very close to Erwin's parents house, so we were close by to them, the church and the beach!

Here is a bit of our daily events that we were able to do:

Thursday: Arrived at Kauai. We went with dad, Josue, Auntie Stanette and Uncle Bones to the high school to watch Evan (the little brother) practice football. It was fun to see him in action! After that, Grandma Wright treated all of us to Duke's, a super yummy restaurant. I loved the atmosphere, company and my tastes buds were in heaven.

Friday: Erwin and I went for a walk along the beach early that morning, and then went to Lihue to buy clothes, little gifts for the family and eat yummy local food. Then Erwin drove me around the island and we visited the beach again for a bit and shopped in some more stores.
We then met the rest of the family at the high school and enjoyed watching Ally get her diploma! It was fun so watch and we were all very proud of her.
We then took pics all together with her and then went back to mom and dad's house. I was so lucky to have all my sister-in-laws teach me how to hula! It was so fun. They were patient with me and laughed with me and I truly enjoyed that time we spent together and having them share their talents with me! Now I must get better with the hula, so we can dance together!!

Saturday: Erwin was so sweet and took me to the Salt Pond. It is a little section of the beach, that isn't too crowded and is so beautiful. Clear water and it was so warm! I didn't have my swimsuit, but we took a dive into the water, and enjoyed swimming in the ocean for about an hour. It was bliss and I was content as can be.
Later that night, we had Ally's big graduation party. Erwin and I sang a duet together while others danced and there was a cute slideshow. The luau food was so yummy, and it was good to visit with lots of people and have that time to hang out and laugh.

Sunday: We went to church, and our sweet little niece was blessed by her dad Josue, in Spanish. It felt good to be there and I enjoyed the speakers immensely.
Erwin and I rushed back to the cottages to check out, and then the entire family all met there, so take family pictures. It was fun, but a little too hot for me. And I think baby Julia would agree. :)
We then hung out at home. We ate leftover food, chatted and looked at old pics of Erwin's parents. People took naps and Erwin and I got ready to then say goodbye to everyone as we headed to the airport.

It was hard to say goodbye to Grandma Wright, Grandma Kua, Auntie Kuini, Aunti Stanette, Uncle Bones, Ally, Evan and mom and dad Wright. (The other sisters all live in Provo, so I knew I would be seeing them again soon as we said goodbye) But all of those people were SO kind to me while I was there. They were so loving, fun and wonderful to talk to and I have such an admiration for all of them, while my love grew for each one. I appreciated their efforts to make me feel like family, and I love them all!

Below are some pictures from the trip. Enjoy!!!

The entire family together at last!

A morning walk by the beach. I love that you can find these pretty plumeria flowers all around.

Spam musibi, chicken and rice, manapua, apple manju. Erwin's favorite food.

Sitting out on our deck, enjoying the warm weather.

It was a blessing to go back and get to spend more time with the Wright family and have that opportunity to get to know everyone a little better, laugh more and enjoy the gorgeous island of Kauai with my sweet and darling husband, who really showed me more of where he came from, how much he loves me and feel the blessing of family and the hand of Heavenly Father in my personal life. :)
