When Erwin and I first started dating, he came with my family to Logan and watched me graduate from the Social Work program from USU. It was the best feeling knowing he was there and sharing that accomplishment with him. Then, it was my turn to attend his own college graduation, and I was beaming with pride as I got to watch him receive his diploma from BYU.
Erwin has worked so hard in school. We got married, and soon after he changed his major from Animation to Neuroscience. Needless to say, it was a big change for him, but he took it head on and stayed committed. Even in the hardest moments of frustration and wanting to give up, he would tell me "Sarah, I'm doing this for you, and for this family. That is what keeps me going." I still remember driving out to Provo to stay with him many a night in the library while he studied; the many study groups, review sessions and homework he tackled daily. Not to mention the common late night drives home after a long day of wracking his brain and waiting up for him to come home to me. He always wanted to do his best, and so did I. I tried to make sure he left with juice for the early drive and a lunch to eat. I would read out loud to him from his school books, until he had to read it on his own because I could never pronounce the words. haha. He as well made sure I was taken care of after a long day of work, by cleaning, doing laundry or just coming home to give me a hug. We wanted to be a team in supporting each other in our current quests, and I am so proud for all Erwin has accomplished.
