On Sunday, I ate dinner with my parents, Erwin and my brother. I got steak, potatoes, asparagus, muffins and guava juice. Then I got my raspberry freeze dessert! It was SO yummy. After dinner I got to open my gifts! I loved every single one! I got awesome leather gloves, movies, a meat thermometer, clothes and a new laptop! wahoo! I could not have been more happy. The time spent with them was so fun, though we missed my sister Amy helping my mom sing Happy Birthday in Portuguese. :) My parents especially are really good at making me feel special and loved on my birthday!
My official birthday rolled around the next day, and it was so nice. I went and bought a few more clothes, hung out with Erwin and spent time getting ready for my birthday party that night with the sister-in-laws, their hubby's, and one cute niece and nephew! We went to Cami's house early to set up before the party. Erwin asked me to pick a theme and a color scheme for my party night, so I chose pink and green and polka dots! We had success in finding the perfect decor, but sadly enough, I didn't take one picture of anything the whole night! I was so sad when I realized my error. But here is a small taste of what was around the house for the party.

I had so much fun decorating with Erwin and getting everything set up, though he did most of the work. We had asked everyone to wear either pink or green as well, and everyone showed up and it was so fun to be all matchy and coordinate with the theme for the night. It was such a good time. Everyone was able to come and we enjoyed yummy lasagna, bread, salad, jello and drinks! We ate, chatted, played with the babies and watched the Notre Dame football game. Then everyone sang to me as all my cupcakes were brought out to me on a cute little stand, while blue flames graced the candles. After the birthday wish was done, I opened gifts which consisted of a new scarf, LDS book, jewelry and gift card to a restaurant. It was all perfect, and I was spoiled yet again.
Then Meags asked Erwin to tell us 28 things all about me that they might not know. I'm not sure we did all 28, but he shared little facts about me or interesting stories and they were all kind enough to listen and enjoy what he shared. I had a great time with all these people who are now a part of my family and I truly felt blessed to be with them and have their support and love on my birthday.
As Erwin and I drove home to SLC, I couldn't help but feel so lucky to have another good year come and go. I am one year older, and a little wiser too, and I am grateful to look forward to yet another 12 months of growth and progression! Thank you to my family who especially made me feel loved, thought of and blessed! :) Here is on to 29! (so old...)
