Easter

Easter was another wonderful holiday to celebrate this year. On Sunday morning, I woke up early and decided to get a little creative with breakfast for Erwin. And no...this is not an idea off of Pinterest! I did it all on my own, and tried to use my creative juices to have fun. Erwin really liked it, and we had our tummies full and smiles on our faces to start the Sabbath.

My Easter bunny pancake!

Can you see the chick in the egg?  :) Easy to do with left over pancakes and scrambled eggs.
This year, we spent Easter with my parents. My sister and her family live in Washington, and my brother was a no-show this year, so it felt not only appropriate, but a blessing to spend this holiday with my parents.

I love having the mom I do. She makes every holiday so fun and memorable, and she always tries to incorporate traditions of the family. She really goes out of her way to make things festive and lavish. I didn't take as many pictures as I should have, but I will share what did.

This year we ate delicious food and had good company. Mom always hangs up from the chandelier that is above the table,  plastic eggs with our names on them. Usually, inside is a clue that will lead us to where our Easter basket is! And they are hard clues too! I loved running around the house with my brother and sister, screaming and laughing as we tried to beat the other one in finding our basket. We always got great stuff, and   a pretty new Easter outfit as well.
This time around, mom put in an activity that we had to accomplish in minute or less. (like the show: Minute to Win it!) I had to balance pencils on the back of my hand one by one-then throw them up in the air and catch them.
Dad had to take bags from the floor by his mouth, and put them on the table one by one.
Erwin had to stack plastic cups into a tower, blindfolded!
We sure laughed a lot, and had a great time playing the games and then getting our little good bag afterwards. :) I was so grateful for my family on this day, and for the spirit we felt being together. We not only had fun, but also focused on what was really important, which is our Savior. I enjoyed being able to feel everyone's love and appreciation for Him in my parent's home. :)

Erwin's challenge

My sweet mom

Dad's challenge. So funny!

When I was a child, I made this sugar egg with my Grandma. Isn't it pretty? She sure was talented. We place it out every year for Easter as decor.

The inside of my egg! A rabbit. :)
