Farewell 2013

I like to review on New Years Eve, all the events and blessings that happened to me throughout the past year. I find it is a nice reminder of how good the Lord has been to me and my family and helps me appreciate all I have done, and how I have grown, as well as the people in my lives.

January- I turned 28! One step closer to 30, and it was a fun themed party at Cam's house. I appreciated the family that surrounded me.

February- We decided to pack up and move to from our little apartment to a bigger one in Sandy. We love our landlords and the area. It was a guided decision and we are happy with it.
We also found out we were having a BOY!

March- After months of being unemployed, Erwin was offered a job at a mortgage company. We have been blessed with work.

April- Juju turned 1! And Meags had a birthday too! I sure am grateful for another year with these two special girls.

May- After some hesitation and worries, the Lord strengthened me and my pregnancy to be well enough to fly home to Hawaii for Evan's graduation!! It was such a wonderful time with lots of family and friends.

June- My sweet niece Emmy turned two! It seemed like just yesterday I was watching her be born.

July- Ahh...my last month working at Head Start before I went on Maternity leave. It was such a bittersweet moment leaving the place that helped change and shape not only my career, but my heart.
And Meags moved to Arizona for teaching position there. (July is was, right Meags?) We were so happy for her new adventure!

August- Wa'akea was born!! So this is by far my most favorite month. It was a long 13 hours of labor and a a horrible c-section, but I would do it all again. He has blessed and changed our lives and my heart is so full to be a mommy! We also had the family from Hawaii here all together for his blessing, and it was an incredible experience.
Rach, also graduated from BYU!!

September- My dad and sister celebrated their birthdays! I love them both and appreciate what they do for me.

October- Erwin's birthday!! He turned the big 28 as well and it was nice to have a movie night with family and friends. I also got to cut and dye my hair this month. Much needed!! Also the month I officially quit my job.

November- Cousin Heidi's birthday, Veteran's day and spending Thanksgiving with my side of the family this year. It was great to watch old home movies and see family.
We also bought a new car to prepare for the snow. I said farewell to my trusty Trooper.
Evan left on his mission and it was also Rach's birthday!! xoxo

December- Wa'akea's first Christmas! He was spoiled. It's so fun to have kids at Christmas time! We enjoyed Christmas eve with the Rivas family and Christmas with mine. It was wonderful.

We have been unbelievably blessed this year. New life, new jobs, new beginnings and new ways to improve and better ourselves. We love our lives, we love the Lord and know all good things come from Him. And we are grateful. :)

What a great review! And yes, Meags moved to AZ in July. I remember because we were there when Wa'a was born and we visited you in the hospital the day I got back :)
