Yup. We we went our our first hike as a family up a little canyon which is literally about 5 minutes from our house. It was such a fun hike! Erwin and I decided to invest in a backpack carrier for the baby, and we love it. It's so comfortable and Wa'a did so well sitting up high in it the entire time. He even fell asleep halfway to the top and then woke up about midway down to the car. The trail itself was uphill for a while with some rocks to get over, but it worked out great and felt so wonderful to be out in the fresh air and away from noise. It was a popular trail, with people of all ages and sizes and it was fun to chat with a few along the way. (Hiker people are almost always so friendly) It seemed like it was going to take foreeeeeeeeeever to get to our final resting place, which had a big lake. But we made it and we sat down, ate some snacks and hung out for a while. Sadly, there wasn't much water in the lake at that time of the year, so there wasn't much to look at, but it still was beautiful with all the trees, bushes, flowers and rocks. We really enjoyed getting out of the house, enjoying some exercise and having a fun outing together as a family.
We will do it again very soon, and I'm sure multiple times. Wanna come? :)
