In our first family ward as a married couple, we were blessed to meet Steve and Megan Cundick. They became such dear friends of ours, and even after both of our families moved away, we still keep in contact with them and enjoy many outings and activities with them. Our first vacation with them was St. George, (which was so fun) and they invited us yet again to enjoy some time away! We now have Wa'a and they now have their beautiful little girl Maggie, who is just a few months younger, and we love getting together.
The Cundicks invited us to a cabin that Steve's family has up in Kamas. We were there from Friday to late Saturday night, and it was the perfect time away. It was absolutely beautiful, with cooler temps and lots of wildlife. The cabin itself was huge, with a gorgeous porch and an amazing swing to sit on and rock while watching the sun go down. We enjoyed yummy dinners, playing games, laughing about non dairy ice cream and choking it down, and seeing the amazing sky at night with it's view of all the stars. Sadly, we didn't get many pics of those activities at all! But we remembered our camera when we went on a beautiful hike Saturday morning. It was a longer hike that was steep a lot of the way, (so I kinda lagged lots bc of that), but it was gorgeous and totally worth it when we got to the top and saw the amazing view. Both babies did awesome and we had fun!! Thanks again Steve and Megan for a wonderful time, that was just what we needed!!
(p.s. Wa'a looks gross in almost all the pics bc he had developed a bad cold while there!)
