Wa'akea turns 2!

My handsome boy turned 2 on August 1st. It was a Saturday, which made it the perfect day to celebrate and have the entire day dedicated to him. He woke up at his usual time and in his usual way yelling out for me. "Maaaaama! Maaaama!" But I took my sweet time in getting to him and that didn't go over so well. So when we went to go sing happy birthday, he burst into tears. We have it on video, which I will have to post later.
We hung up balloons and streamers and he thought it was so fun to run and play in them and then blow out candles as we sang to him with a play dough cake. :)

Later that day, we were able to meet up with Aunties and Uncles and cousins! Wa'a loves to jump, so we went to a trampoline warehouse and let the kids jump and run wild. Erwin and Josue got in on the fun too, which the kids loves. The rest of us just sat and watched. After about an hour, we left all hot and worn out and headed to the park for pizza, cake, presents and fun!

It was such a good time. The food was good, the weather wasn't too hot, we had plenty of tables to sit on and take up space and of course the company was great. And Wa'a was spoiled by the family with his gifts! I couldn't help but feel so blessed to look around and see those who love and support him and who he is and celebrate with us! He loved all his gifts and still plays with them every single day.

I can't believe another year has flown by and he is two! He sings so many different songs, can count to 13, talks up a storm, is a pro at mastering a cell phone, jumps off of everything, loves cars, dinosaurs, monsters and animals and is a little fighter. (watch out for him and swords!) He loves to play chase, jump on the tramp, have tickle wars and brush his teeth. He is facinated with bugs and spiders and is the most fun little thing in the world. We are obssessed with him and all the joy he brings into our lives. Life wouldn't be the same without him and I am so proud of who is he already. Happy Birthday baby boy!

(We celebrated Wa'a's birh day with my side of the family on Sunday, where he was spoiled once again and had a blast. That post is to come soon!)
