I am not an avid hiker or camper or a great fisherman or rock climber, but I love being outdoors.
Some of my best memories as a child is being outside and jumping on the tramp, playing tag, hide and go seek up and down the street with friends, running through sprinklers and feeling the grass on my bare feet. Not to mention making snow angels and jumping into huge snow drifts.
So it is to my pure delight that I have a child that looooooves being outside. And since Erwin and I both believe in getting dirty, picking up bugs and climbing trees, (among many other things ) this kid is right on track with all of those things.
Whether it be snow or rain or sunshine, he would rather be outdoors. And I am just so tickled that we now have a big beautiful yard and clean neighborhood to enjoy every day.
Wa'a loves to go find "laleybugs, spi-eeers, birds, tritits (crickets )," bees and flies and especially ants. It sure makes life fun to see the outdoors through the eyes of a child and how beautiful and exciting everything is.
So here is to a summer of playing in the dirt, catching bugs, water fights and loving the sun!
