Erwin's ER trip

Can you believe it? It's not ME who was going to the ER this time! Though, it gave me to pleasure to have to take Erwin there. Poor guy. Around 3:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, Erwin started to complain of sharp pain on the right side of his chest and difficulty breathing. Hours and hours went by, and nothing seemed to change or help. He didn't want to go to the ER, but after we said a prayer, he felt prompted to do so.
We went to Insta Care first, who sent him on his way to the ER because of his family history of heart problems and the duration of his pain.
He was checked in and taken back to a room, where he was hooked up to an IV, which was the hardest thing of all for him, since he hates needles badly.
He had an EKG, a Ddimer test, blood work and a chest xray.
In total it took about 3 hours. The kids and I waited in the waiting room and it went pretty well. Wa'a watched a few movies and baby eventually fell asleep in the baby carrier. Then we played outside to kill time and in the car. Erwin was discharged around 10 p.m., with a clean bill of health.
He still has the pain and he still can't breathe well, so the Dr said to call if it doesn't get better in a few days.
It was strange for me to be the spouse who was waiting on the opposite side of the doors. Usually it's Erwin, and I'm the one enduring tests and Drs, needles and anxiety. We are so grateful he is ok, and hope that we continue to be spared from any bad news. (For both of us. Heaven knows my body need it. ;p )

I was grateful for the view of the Temple while waiting for Erwin.
