Presidents Day

Presidents day was great. We met up with Ally and the Rivas family first at Wendy's in Springville. For some reason, a burger tasted so good to me. And even though I'm not usually a burger person, it truly hit the spot. And of course the kids had fun eating and sitting by each other.

After we finished up with our food, we headed over to Nickel Mania! I have not been there in years. And boy was it packed! I don't usually mind that, but with my 2 littles it was hard. It was hot, sweaty, loud, and trying to keep an eye on everyone was difficult.

But the games were fun and nostalgia ran through me the entire time. Winning tickets was still the best feeling and getting those dinky but fun prizes at the end could not have been more satisfying for all the kids.

The only downside is that Clara wanted to run and hide a lot. My leg hurt chasing after her. She fell off the carousal that I put her on with her cousins, and I felt awful.
Wa'a was being so sensitive. A lot of little things set him off and he cried a lot of the floor. Which lead me to being a bit frustrated and embarrassed, but mostly exhausted. Honestly, we should have left after and hour and put my kids to bed. They struggle with no nap.

BUT, we all left with toys and smiles and lots of giggles and it was fun to be with family and get out and about.

Do you see the dead bird stuck in the car grill behind Wa'a's head? We all couldn't stop giggling about how sad and weird it was.

I was d-o-n-e. Whew!
