Start of summer fun

Erwin and I really enjoy bike riding. And with the kids, it's even more fun! Wa'a isn't a fan of going super fast, while Clara wants nothing more than to ride at the speed of light. You should see the smile that lights up her entire face as we head out for a ride. We usually go in the evening time; around 7:00 p.m. when the weather has cooled a bit and the roads are not as crowded. I am so pleased that my leg is able to be strong enough to do this. It's such a great activity we love to do together.

10 minutes into our bike ride, Clara falls fast asleep sitting up. No speed or shaking her could phase her awake. It was incredibly funny. :D

I can ride a bike with minimal pain! Wahoo!

Waa then fell asleep after 15 minutes. There went bed time!

The entire bike ride! This girl was out!

A few days ago, our friends the Yellowhorses asked if they could come and play. Tina's boys love coming here because they know I always have crackers, popsicles and juice, and I got out all three for the kids when they showed up. We didn't have anything specifically planned, but it turned into such a fun day. Lot's of sunshine, driving around in Wa'a's truck and hours of playing with the hose and water. I loved hearing the giggles from the kids and seeing the pure joy on their faces as they played. Children are so simple and know how to have the best time with minimal things.
It was a great kick off to summer fun and friends.
No worries. That's not pee. Just water.

Popsicle time! (Maelin was sneaky in biting some of clara's popsicle. To be fare, she did get two! )

Tina said this looks like Wa'a is looking at a map and giving directions to Maelin.

We have no pool this year. And I am not sure we really need one...This has been more than enough to satisfy the kids.

I sprayed them lots with the hose and played some games together.

Lots of puddles stay in the creases and dents of the tarp. Wa'a loves to splash in them.

See that red sled? I filled that with water and the two younger kids sat in it forever.

Yay for Summer fun. Too bad it only comes once a year. Oh well, enjoy the Summer while you can.
