Utah Lake festival

The month of June always has some of the most fun activities going on, and this year we want to try and participate in as many free ones as we can. :)

We decided to go to the Utah Lake festival in Orem, at Utah Lake!

It was jam packed, and we were surprised with all the people in swim gear. We then realized that tons of people were boating, renting paddle boards or kayaks, and families were having their kids swim and play in shallow water. It looked so fun, and I kinda wished we had Wa'a and Clara go swim too.

In order to get a prize from a table near the parking lot, we had to go to eight different booths and get a stamp. There were a few booths that were kid friendly, but not many. The rest of the tables I had to go and listen about fishing safety, canoe building, paddle board yoga or learn about different fishes in the lake. It didn't interest me too much and it was elbow jam packed to reach the booth leader and get a stamp. But we did it, and eventually both kids got a prize. Clara got sunglasses and Wa'a chose a big water bottle.

The highlights were:

*It was hot, but not unbearable.

*They had a slushee food truck, and it was so yum.

*Wa'a was in heaven with all the fishing booths that had live fish.

*Clara was calm and patient throughout the activities.

* I LOVE boat marinas. Always have. And it was so fun to be around so many sailboats again.

*It was great to be able to get out of the house and enjoy some different scenery.

*Wa'a cried leaving bc he did not want to leave all the fish. :)

We really wanted to eat here, and at a Korean food truck as well, but the lines were way too long.

But we did get a snow cone!

So many planes flew over us, and it was crazy to see how low they were as they were preparing to land.
