St. George getaway, day one!!

This was such a great little getaway. Erwin took some much needed (and rare) days off from work, and we knew we wanted to do something fun. So I asked my dear home teacher and friend (from living at my parents home) if we could stay in his St. George house for a few days. And him being the generous man he is, said yes! Erwin and I have stayed here before, and we are so glad we got to go back. We knew it would be a blast to have Ally and the Rivas family join us, and we were so excited they took us up on our invite! (Except so sad Ally couldn't make it. We missed her.)

The house is lovely. It has two bedrooms, and one room has a master bath. We let Cam guys have that one so they could have the max privacy and space. Our room was so spacious and bright. (also it was boat themed) Wa'a slept in our bed and Clara slept in the pack n play we brought. It was so comfy and the kids slept so well. Cami and I giggled about how much we loved sleeping in a king size bed and wishing we could buy one for home. It was a dream!
The house has an awesome living room area, a beautiful kitchen that was fully stocked with food and kitchenware and a nice little dining table.
Outside there is a table for dining, and to the side of the house there is a separate house called the "casita". It has a queen bed in it, a full bath, microwave and mini fridge. So if we had more people with us, they could have stayed there!
We arrived Friday night and rested and unpacked a bit and let the kids play. The Saturday came!

Good morning from St. George!

My kids wake up at 7. Cam's kids do not, which baffles me that they sleep in. Lucky Cam! So we tried to stay quite and eat our breakfast out on the back patio every morning until they woke up.

Kids watching a show while we finished getting ready to go to the splash pad!

We found an amazing splash pad. It was huge and had a winding river of water that flowed throughout and a bunch of rocks for the kids to jump and play on. Plus mini waterfalls! There was also a huge splash area separate that had all the shooting fountains.
The kids had a blast there and seeing their excitement was so fun. The Rivas' needed to leave early for naps and wash up after sunscreen got in some of the kiddies eyes, but we stayed for another hour and a half playing in the hot sun!

After everyone napped and bathed, it was time for dinner! We picked a place called Irmita's Casita, and it really was a house! It was tiny, but had fun decor and such nice people working there. We were lucky we got there when we did, because it filled up fast and was jam packed! The food was so good, that Josue made sure to write a great Yelp review. :) We all loved it!

Clara loves to jump and throw her hands up in the air to scare people. She yells "BUH" (boo) and giggles her heart out. Her brother and cousins laughed right along with her. It was so fun.

After dinner, we all stopped at WalMart to pick up some things we needed.

Sunset over the red rock. It was still 101 degrees at 8:30 at night. :(

All four of us are not game people by nature, but since Erwin brought quite a few card games, we gave them a try and we ended up having so much fun! It was the friendliest card games too, because we all helped each other win a lot. haha.
It was SO great to have adult time. We chatted, ate fruit snacks and nuts and stayed up until almost 2:00 a..m.!

We went to bed happy and tired. It was a great first day!
