On September 1st, we got to celebrate my dad's birthday! In true Philly form, we ate Philly cheese steak sandwiches and Tasty cakes. The restaurant was flooded with pictures from back home, and my dad felt so happy to be there among familiarity of a place similar to his beloved Philly.
We got my dad balloons just to embarrass him (it worked!) and all of his favorite drinks and food. He was super happy about it. ;)

The next day we went to the Rivas home to celebrate Kaleb's birthday. It was the first time that we had sat in their little backyard all together, and it was so fun. The kids swam and swam and were so happy about it. We ate yummy summer food, had delicious ice cream dessert and laughed watching the kids hit the Spiderman Pinata.
