Clara Joy's Birthday

My baby is two! My, I can't believe how vividly I remember her first birthday and now she is one year older and has changed our lives completely even more.

Her birthday was nice. She loved wearing her new necklaces and crown and was excited to see all the balloons we had blown up for her.
Throughout the day we played, shopped, got a birthday donut, and enjoyed birthday phone calls full of song from family and friends.
Later that night, my parents came over to give her some gifts. We all sang to her and opened up presents and enjoyed watching her react to all the different things going on just for her.

I get so emotional thinking about who this special little girl is, and how she has turned our lives upside down and fills us with such love and joy. She is the light in her daddy's eyes, the laugh in her brothers smile, and the beat of her momma's heart.
We love her. And we are grateful for all those who love her too and serve her.

Happy Birthday baby girl!

We went to sing to her before Erwin had to go to work. Her tears were a sign that we woke her up way too early and she wasn't ready. :)

We got her an art kit. Now we just have to hide it from her at all times unless I supervise...hehe

They had a blast playing in it with the balloons

She got darling outfits for her bday

She took such a good nap. I held her the entire time instead of putting her down, so I could love on my big 2 yr old girl.

I focused my gratitude on Clara and all that she has taught us and all of who she is. This was a nice dinner treat to read. :)
