All the Young Women leaders decided that we should have a Favorite Things party! We have grown to really enjoy each other, and spending more time outside of church is always a goal of ours, so this was a great idea.
Everyone bought 3 of their favorite things, and brought them to the party. We played kind of a White Elephant game with all the gifts. You could steal a desired gift, but only once, and had to roll dice and get doubles to even be able to pick a gift in the first place. It was so funny, and everyone stole something from someone at some point, and it was hilarious to see the looks of everyone hoping to get what they wanted.
I ended up getting great things! I got a movie with a chocolate bar, a Bath and Body works candle, and a bag of cookies with a super, amazing soft white fluff blanket. (I fought hard for these things!)
I was so pleased.
I brought two favorite things as my gifts. My favorite household cleaner (Method brand), and my favorite spray bottle that you can only buy in salons. I love these two things, and everyone who got my gift were so excited to have them too!
Since being in Young Women, the leaders and Presidency have bounced around a ton. But we now seem to have a more permanent feel with our recent changes, and it is oh-so-good. I truly have enjoyed getting to know who I serve with, and I love how this calling has brought us together when otherwise we may never have.
They all are gems. True gems. And I am so grateful that when I accepted this calling (begrudgingly) that God knew exactly what He was doing when He placed me here.
So grateful for a night full of laughs and fun!
