Naao woke up a two year old on Sunday, August 16th. I had stayed up the night before to do a few decorations for him to wake up to, but because I wasn't feeling to well I eventually had to climb into bed. But I knew he wouldn't mind. Everyone was awake bright and early by 7 15, and Erwin was so irritated. He is not a morning person and just wanted to sleep, but also didn't want to miss out on seeing Naao's reaction to his presents and balloons.
While Erwin slowly stirred awake, Wa'a and Clara climbed into Naao's crib and sang Happy Birthday to him while showering him with kisses and hugs. I love how they love him.
Erwin carried him out of the room and he gasped when he saw the streamers and balloons. "Bawoooons!" We giggled and sang Happy Birthday to him again.

You can't go wrong with dinosaur cars. He loved them!
Later that evening we headed to my parents house to celebrate the rest of his special day with them. They were so sweet and had a banner hanging up for him and some balloons as well. They also made sure to buy him lactose free ice cream to go along with the cake I had made! That was thoughtful. We all devoured the dessert and then moved on to gifts.

Ty was so upset he blew out the candles so quickly after we sang. He just sat there sulking. We all laughed and just had to light them again just for him.

This time it took more work to blow them out, which was more satisfying for the bday boy. Good job!

I will always love my parents backyard. They always have beautiful flowers and plants and fresh veggies in their garden. We played and roamed around for a while afterwards.
Tyler Addison Naaoomanaolana. What a kid. Seriously, he is so great. These past two years have been so incredibly fun, because that what Tyler is: Fun!
Here are a few facts about our beloved boy:
*He goes by Tyler, TyTy, Naao, Brudder, (Brother) and Brudder (brother) Bear.
*He makes a million faces. Like a million. And they are the kind of reaction faces that you think you would only see in movies done by actors and not done in real life. It's hilarious. Our favorite is the long -blink- look- away- stink- eye.
*He never leaves anyone out in our family ever. If he gets a fruit snack, he will always make sure to grab one for both Clara and Wa'a. If we are leaving to go somewhere, he will run through the house to make sure everyone is coming and not left behind.
*He is a great napper.
*He runs with his left arm swinging back and forth.
*He is easily calmed. Just recognize his pain, validate it and he will immediately be fine.
*He loves to play tag, jump on the tramp, jump on my bed, play hide and seek and climb. But most of all he loves to play with the hose. Water is his true love.
*He is dramatic.
*He always wants to play with whatever it is Clara is playing with. Never Wa'a, just Clara.
*He loves chocolate and sauteed sweet potatoes.
*He loves loves to pray. "I pway!" Is what he says when asked who wants to at the end of each day. We love hearing his little voice.
*He loves animals, but hates bugs.
*He is very sensitive to crying. He will hug us and comfort us.
*He stomps his foot when he's mad.
*He loves to be outside.
He is so so smart. He is so so verbal. He is funny and brings the best out in all of us and we are so happy for the laughter and brings to our home. We love you baby boy!
