We celebrated Naao with the Rivas family on the Friday before his actual birthday. We chose a Hot Wheels theme bc Naao loves, loves cars, and we knew he would enjoy playing with them all night. So Erwin excitedly set up a race track, got lots of hot wheels for everyone and bought a gum ball trophy. The kids were excited to participate and we were all glad to be together to celebrate our birthday boy. We first grilled hot dogs, had watermelon, chips and salad with juice. After our tummies were full we had our competition! The party was so fun and ended late with adults talking and kids playing. We were glad Naao got to have fun with family.
Everyone got to choose their car of choice and give it a name. Examples of a few were: Love Bug, Chai, Sapphire, Black Sparrow, Super Chomp Speed, Pinky, etc.

After a much longer than anticipated competition, it came down to Lena and Naao, and the birthday boy ended up winning. And he couldn't even enjoy it. (Erwin bought gum not thinking he would win)
This video will forever make us laugh. The shorter version of the clip is much funnier, but I wanted to post the longer version as well. Grateful for memorable moments caught on camera that make me smile.
