Saturday night campfires

I grew up with many traditions. Many were grand traditions for the holidays, and others were much simpler like camping out on the trampoline every summer. I am a deep lover and respecter of traditions and find so much joy and fulfillment in carrying on the things I did as a child. I recently read that children thrive off of traditions, even if it's small, like "Pancake Sunday". It creates a sense of belonging and identity to themselves and their family life. Besides the obvious big traditions that we do, I am grateful that we have incorporated some small ones as well that my kids really look forward to. For example, almost every Sunday we have Crepes or "Rolled pancakes". And almost every Saturday night we do campfires dinner or desserts. These are things that are consistent and provide fun and stability in our home life, as well as a sense of family and togetherness.
