April Fools, Conference and Autism Day

This year April Fools Day was so, so fun! The kids are now much older and understand how this day works, and they took it upon themselves (with only sometimes our help) to pull of pranks. We laughed all day and I felt so grateful for silly kids who got such delight in this day.

Clara put googly eyes on some of our photos. This was my favorite.

**MY** prank was giving them cereal with frozen milk with the spoon stuck inside. I was proud of myself for tricking them and seeing them giggle and be shocked.

Clara ran toward me with this cup and pretended to trip and "spill" the drink on me. But it was empty and attached to the plate with a string. :D

Waa taped the entire bathroom. The toilet and cabinet was taped shut, and he was so proud of himself.

Waa also drew goofy and scary faces on paper and stuck them all over inside the fridge.

What I didn't get a picture of:
I helped Naao make red jello in a cup with a straw and pretend it was juice, He gave it to Erwin to prank him.
Clara and Naao put toothpaste in an oreo for Erwin. Tessanne found them first, and it was still funny to watch.
Naao pretended to serve me tea in a mug, but it was really just water.

They did almost all of their pranks within an hour of waking up, and the rest through out the day still made us laugh just as hard. Can't you just hear Naao saying "APRIL FOOLS PRANK! HAHAHA" in his semi evil voice, but also super giggly. It brought our kids such joy to have this day, and we loved it.

Conference is getting harder and harder to get my kids to sit and either listen or play quietly. I thought it would get easier. We do however always look forward to making our Prophet Pancakes, and it always makes me smile to see them get excited and creative.
Waa did the actual Prophet.

Clara wanted to do Jesus.

Naao wanted a reindeer. :)

I liked this cardboard creation Waa did.

I still remember these kiddos being so small and sharing a bed. Sometimes they still fall asleep together while reading, and I love it.

Clara is getting a little bit more aware of Autism and what it means. We were happy to show our support for her by wearing blue on April 2nd. All of wore something blue, and even some Aunties and cousins wore blue to support her. I am always so grateful for awareness and fighting for acceptance. This journey is far from over, but she had come farther than I ever would have imagined and we love her so much.
